Beginners - Learn to Skate

This beginner program is meant for first year players new to the Auburn Hockey Club that are learning how to skate! In this program we focus on skating, getting up on your skates, feeling comfortable on the ice and the very basics of stick handling. Free equipment will be limited to the first 30 registered players.

4-8 years old

When

2 sessions:

Session 1: Begins October 20th and ends December 19th

Session 2: Begins January 9th and ends on March 2nd

Practices are 1-2 days a week

Games

There are no formal games for the Learn to Skate Program.

Jerseys

Jerseys will be provided by the club.

2026-2027 SEASON

The Learn to Skate program is designed specially for players ages 4-9 years old to try for one year at no cost. The program starts in mid October with an equipment hand out day and an opportunity to learn how to put the equipment on and ask any questions you have!

Practices will start after that with 1-2 practices a week until mid February. Typically, one week day practice and one weekend early morning practice.
